Beauty trends are increasingly diverse, one of which is the sauna burrito.

One of the beauty treatment centers that offer this is the Shape House in Los Angeles, United States.

The beauty treatment center has a special treatment that wraps the stars in hot blankets like burrito.

For information, this sauna uses an infrared blanket that is wrapped around the patient's body.

The rays produce heat which 'forces' the body to release sweat as well as toxins in the body.

This therapy is claimed to be far more effective than traditional saunas, and can even promote better sleep quality and lower blood pressure.

"The body will sweat as a way of lowering the temperature, not only does water leave the body, but toxins also come out with sweat," said Lauren Berlingeri, owner of Spa Higher Dose.

Apart from making the body sweat, infrared rays also penetrate the layers of the skin and burn fat, so that the body looks slimmer if done regularly.

Nevertheless, the medical community is still skeptical about the effectiveness of the sauna burrito in removing body toxins.

"If it functions the same as a sauna, then it's up to each individual to try it," says Dr. Brent Bauer quoted from the Mayo Clinic.

This therapy is priced at US$45 or the equivalent of Rp.588 thousand per treatment.

Don't worry about getting bored while being 'wrapped' like a burrito.

The spa provides headphones with relaxing songs and movies to enjoy during the treatment.

However, because the therapy makes the body sweat more, it is recommended that patients drink more before and after treatment.
